Harassment prevention training for Harbor Dental Society members
As of Jan. 1, 2019, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) has updated its workplace discrimination and harassment notice. The notice reflects that employers with five or more employees must now provide training to all employees regarding the prevention of sexual harassment. All training must be completed by Jan. 1, 2020. The purpose of this training is to set forth a common understanding about what is and what is not acceptable in the workplace and to outline what to do if you are victim of harassment in the workplace. Two specific types of courses will be offered at CDA Presents Anaheim:
For nonsupervisory positions (1-hour course):

Learning Outcomes:
1. Understand what is considered sexual harassment and employer responsibilities.
2. Learn what a supervisor's responsibility is if sexual harassment is reported and confidentiality limitations occur during the complaint process.
3. Learn to develop, foster and encourage a set of values in supervisory employees in prevention and effectively responding to incidents of sexual harassment.
